Pink Lady, το πιο girly cocktail της δεκαετίας του '50
Σε όλη τη διάρκεια της καραντίνας, με τα αγαπημένα μας μπαρ κλειστά, όλοι το ρίξαμε αναγκαστικά στο mixology. Από τα viral βιντεάκια διασήμων όπως το σπιτικό Negroni του Stanley Tucci και το martini που έφτιαξε η Meryl Streap φορώντας το μπουρνούζι της, μέχρι τα Quarantinis των απανταχού food bloggers, για όλα τα γούστα είχε να δώσει η καραντίνα. Έτσι, φτιάχναμε κι εμείς τα σπιτικά κοκτεϊλάκια μας, όπως το gin tonic με σιρόπι από άνθη εσπεριδοειδών που έγινε το χιτάκι της δικής μας καραντίνας. Τώρα που μπορούμε να καλέσουμε ξανά τους αγαπημένους μας φίλους στο σπίτι, σας προτείνω ένα φανταστικό κοκτέιλ από τα παλιά, που είναι ό,τι πρέπει για ένα girls’ night in με τις φίλες σας, ώστε να κάνετε το απαραίτητο post-quarantine catch up. Το Pink Lady εφευρέθηκε τη δεκαετία του ‘50, είναι ροζ και σερβίρεται με κερασάκι.
Υλικά:
(Για 4 κοκτέιλ)
200 ml τζιν της επιλογής σας, παγωμένο
4 κτγ γρεναδίνη
2 ασπράδια αυγού
4 κερασάκια Maraschino
Μέθοδος:
Σε ένα σέικερ, χτυπάμε όλα τα υλικά. Σερβίρουμε σε ποτήρια κουπέ με ένα κερασάκι στο χείλος.

Throughout the whole quarantine, with our favourite bars being closed and whatnot, we all had to turn to mixology. From the viral videos of celebrities like Stanley Tucci’s homemade Negroni and the martini Meryl Streap made in her bathrobe, to the Quarantinis of the food bloggers of the world, the quarantine had something for everyone. So, we also made our cocktails at home, like our gin tonic with citrus blossom syrup that became the hit of our quarantine. Now that we can invite our friends at home once again, I recommend a fantastic cocktail from the old times, which is perfect for a girls’ night in, so that you can have the necessary post-quarantine catch up with your girlfriends. Pink Lady was invented in the 1950s, it’s -duh- pink and it’s served with a cherry on top.
Ingredients:
(For 4 cocktails)
200 ml gin of your choice, straight from the freezer
4 tsp grenadine
2 egg whites
4 Maraschino cherries
Method:
In a shaker, shake all the ingredients. Serve in coupe glasses, with a cherry.
